Japanese Nuclear power plant going meltdown: is it anything to worry about?

The earthquake on friday was an 8.9 on the ricter scale, and caused a Tsunami, which may have killed thousands of people, but has destroyed many hundreds of thousands of people lives, but still after a full week of news, there is still a worry that one of the nucleaur reators of a power plant will meltdown, and there is one thing I do know, it must have been very close. When a company resorts to dropping sea water  on the delicate equipment of the reactor, they must have been desperate, we were close, but will it happen still, I dont think so, there is nothing to worry about, just the hundreds of thousands of  people who have lost their lively hoods.
